Education Minister distributes scholarships to outstanding students in Balochistan
Quetta, Provincial Minister for Education Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani distributed scholarship cheques among outstanding students under the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme during a ceremony held at Government Girls College Jinnah Town, Quetta.
Accompanied by Director Colleges Professor Hussain Baloch, Joint Director Colleges Saeeda Niaz Baloch, and Director Scholarships Qaiser Baloch, the Minister awarded scholarships worth a total of Rs. 300,000 to 186 students from 31 districts of the province who secured top positions in the FA and FSc examinations, session 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Durrani said that students who demonstrate excellence in academics are the nation’s valuable asset. She assured that the government will continue to encourage and support them in pursuing higher education.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Education Department, college principals, students, and their parents, who appreciated the initiative to recognize and encourage talented youth.
