Over 413,000 children to receive polio drops in Naseerabad Division: Commissioner Noorzai
Commissioner Salahuddin Noorzai has directed that all arrangements for the upcoming anti-polio campaign in Naseerabad Division be finalized without delay.
According to officials, the campaign will cover 126 union councils, targeting 413,788 children to administer polio drops. Chairing a meeting of the Divisional Task Force, the Commissioner emphasized that the success of the campaign lies in a comprehensive and effective micro-plan, which must be strictly followed.
He instructed all Deputy Commissioners to personally supervise the campaign, ensuring close monitoring of field teams, children’s coverage, and security arrangements. Salahuddin Noorzai made it clear that negligence or lapses will not be tolerated, as the provincial government has issued strict directives for full compliance.
The meeting was attended by SSP Naseerabad Asad Nasar, Assistant Commissioner Basheer Ahmed, DHO Naseerabad Dr. Ayaz Jamali, and other district officials via video link. WHO representative Dr. Yasir also gave a detailed briefing on the campaign.
The Commissioner directed that teams must depart on time, remain present in the field, ensure security, guide reluctant parents, and immediately cover missed children so that no child is deprived of polio drops.
