True leadership lies in public trust and service, not power: Governor Mandokhail

Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail emphasized that the true greatness of political leadership lies not in power but in public trust and service. Speaking to various delegations at the Governor House Quetta, he reflected on his 40-year political career, noting that his guiding principle has always been service to the people rather than pursuit of personal gain or authority.

He stated that politics should be a means to improve lives, provide opportunities for the younger generation, and build society, rather than a tool for self-interest. Highlighting his contributions, the Governor said that during his career he successfully completed numerous historic projects in education, health, and public welfare, benefiting millions across different districts.

Governor Mandokhail remarked: “The real success of any project is not in its buildings but in the human benefits it creates. My greatest wish is that the shade and fruits of these trees continue to reach generations to come.”

He underscored that education has always been his top priority and the cornerstone of his political vision. Roads, bridges, and infrastructure may provide convenience, he said, but education empowers individuals to change their destiny. He proudly noted that dozens of educational institutions he helped establish have now grown into strong foundations, producing thousands of graduates who are contributing to the nation’s progress.

The Governor expressed confidence that a school lays the foundation of a generation, a college builds the dreams of thousands, and a university can transform the intellectual future of entire generations. In light of rapid economic and political changes, he stressed the need to build human capacities and nurture minds that can lead Balochistan toward academic advancement and a modern economy.
