PILDAT delegation meets Quetta Administration; reviews public services and urban facilities
A delegation from the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) visited the office of the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, where an important meeting was held to review issues related to urban facilities, health, education, water supply, sanitation, and other public services.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Quetta Muhammad Anwar Kakar. It was attended by PILDAT representative Faheem Ahmed, Deputy District Health Officer, officials from WASA, Public Health Engineering, Health Department, Education Department, Bureau of Statistics, Street Organization, AID Balochistan, and other relevant departments.
During the session, various departments presented detailed briefings on their ongoing initiatives, the facilities being provided to citizens, and the challenges faced. Discussions focused on improving basic service delivery, enhancing health and education sectors, ensuring clean drinking water, strengthening the sanitation system, and making effective use of statistical data for better governance.
ADC Muhammad Anwar Kakar emphasized that providing citizens with basic facilities and resolving urban issues promptly are among the top priorities of the district administration. He directed departments to strengthen coordination and adopt effective strategies to improve service delivery.
Suggestions were also shared to enhance inter-departmental coordination and monitoring of public welfare projects. The PILDAT delegation appreciated the cooperation and information provided by the district administration and relevant departments.
