Balochistan expands MERC 1122 emergency services with nine new ambulances and emergency response software

 

Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar has announced that emergency ambulance services in Balochistan are being modernized to ensure rapid response to accidents and safeguard precious human lives.

 

Speaking at the MERC 1122 headquarters during the inauguration of nine new ambulances and the launch of emergency response software, Bakht Kakar said that the government is committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in line with the Chief Minister’s vision of revolutionary reforms in the health sector.

 

He emphasized that the integration of all ambulances under the 1122 command and control system will soon allow the public across Balochistan to benefit from standardized emergency services similar to other provinces.

 

Director General MERC 1122 Zulfiqar Jatoi highlighted that the addition of advanced ambulances and the new software will significantly improve response times, ensuring timely medical assistance to accident victims. He noted that the system enables effective tracking of ambulances across the province, providing real-time information on their availability and movement, and dispatching the nearest unit to any emergency.

 

Director General Health Services Balochistan Dr. Muhammad Amin Mandokhail stated that the newly inducted ambulances are equipped with advanced life support facilities, expanding the service’s reach to remote areas. He added that the Health Department is utilizing all available resources to make emergency services more effective and accessible across Balochistan.

 

Minister Bakht Kakar praised the dedication of MERC 1122 rescuers, who remain on duty round-the-clock, saving countless lives through swift responses. He assured that with government support, the emergency services will be further expanded to ensure that in any part of the province, accident victims receive immediate medical aid, safe transfer to trauma centers, and protection of human lives.
