Development journey in Balochistan cannot be halted by negative politics: Haji Ali Madad Jatak
QUETTA, Provincial Minister Haji Ali Madad Jatak has strongly responded to remarks made by Balochistan National Party chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal, stating that the ongoing journey of development and prosperity in Balochistan is “unacceptable” to so‑called nationalist sardars and nawabs.
Ali Madad Jatak said that under the tenure of caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar‑ul‑Haq Kakar, Balochistan received a historic gift in the form of the dualization of the Quetta–Karachi highway, a project progressing rapidly and expected to become a milestone for travel facilities and economic activity in the province.
He added that during the government of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, practical progress is being made on several development projects, including modern trauma centers, the People’s Train Service, Green Bus, Pink Bus, and other initiatives across multiple sectors. These projects, he noted, are clear evidence of the government’s commitment to placing Balochistan firmly on the path of progress and prosperity.
The minister criticized nationalist leaders, saying that their politics has only brought “corpses, hatred, and deprivation” to the province. In contrast, leaders like Bugti and former caretaker Prime Minister Kakar have given Balochistan’s youth the pen, opening doors to prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Harvard, and Aitchison College, as well as other educational opportunities across Pakistan and abroad.
Highlighting the current wave of development, Ali Madad Jatak said that practical work is underway in education, health, roads, transport, and employment projects, and the people now witness tangible progress instead of empty slogans and negative politics. He stressed that the journey of Balochistan’s development and prosperity will not be halted by propaganda.
