Sarfraz Bugti stresses accelerating pace of implementation to government’s practical measures and directed departments to ensure timely completion of projects

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has declared that no job will be sold in the province, warning that if verified evidence of job buying and selling emerges, “no minister nor secretary will be spared.” He assured that impartial investigations would be conducted and strict legal action taken against those found guilty, stressing that no compromise will be acceptable on the future and right to employment of Balochistan’s youth.

Presiding over a meeting of the Secretaries Committee, the Chief Minister reviewed the performance of provincial departments, the physical and financial progress of the Annual Development Programme, recruitment processes, and various administrative matters. The meeting was attended by Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, along with secretaries of all departments.

Taking strict notice of complaints regarding irregularities in Forest Department recruitments, Bugti ordered a high-level probe. He reiterated that from day one his stance has been clear: “No job will be sold in Balochistan.” He emphasized that the provincial cabinet, Chief Secretary, and the entire government machinery are united on this principle, adding that every form of pressure would be endured to stop the sale of jobs, but no compromise would be made on the rights of Balochistan’s youth.

Addressing officers, Bugti said that as Chief Minister he has never tolerated personal interference in government affairs. He noted that even his own family members have never been seen in the Secretariat for official or private work, underscoring his commitment to impartial governance. He clarified that there will be no compromise on merit, transparency, and the rule of law, and no individual will be allowed to influence official matters based on personal connections or pressure.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the officers, describing them as capable of leading Balochistan in the right direction. While rejecting allegations of job sales at the secretary level as “incomprehensible and unworthy of senior administrative positions,” he stressed the need for strict oversight of subordinate staff and recruitment committees. He reminded officers that any irregularity at any level is unacceptable, given the government’s commitment to the people and parliament.

Sarfraz Bugti directed officials to ensure complete implementation of government orders and to keep daily administrative affairs and recruitment processes transparent and merit-based. He ordered immediate enforcement of the approved AI-driven merit-based recruitment policy for all posts above Grade 5, with tests conducted locally. He clarified that for Class-IV posts, neither nepotism nor recruitment committee influence would be tolerated.

He instructed all secretaries to take an oath that jobs for Balochistan’s youth will not be sold, urging them to fulfill their duties with honesty and integrity, and not allow any pressure to obstruct merit and transparency.

Commending Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan for his role as principal advisor, Bugti said effective implementation of policies can only be ensured through meaningful consultation and cooperation between the provincial government and administrative officers.

The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Sarfraz Bugti attributed the accelerated pace of implementation to the government’s practical measures and directed departments to ensure timely completion of projects. He praised the digitization of the Planning and Development Department, led by Minister Zahoor Ahmed Buledi and Additional Chief Secretary Zahid Saleem, noting that modern technology is vital for transparency, effective monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making.

CM Sarfraz Bugti said that only by establishing meritocracy can the trust of Balochistan’s youth in the state system be restored. He urged officers to perform their duties with full responsibility, impartiality, and integrity, ensuring that no youth’s rights are compromised due to individual, group, or external pressure.
