Case registered against head constable in Naseerabad custodial death incident

Quetta, Following the death of a prisoner at Naseerabad Police Station, the Balochistan government has taken swift action, registering a case against Head Constable Javed Iqbal after Home Minister Mir Zia Langau took notice of the incident.

Aide to the Home Department, Babar Yousafzai confirmed that the FIR has been lodged and assured that a transparent investigation will be conducted strictly in accordance with the law. He emphasized that accountability will be ensured and no leniency will be tolerated in the matter.

Babar Yousafzai further stated that under the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Home Minister Zia Langau, and Inspector General of Police, efforts are underway to establish a people-friendly environment in all police stations across the province. He reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the government’s foremost priority.
