Gas Companies urged to provide jobs and welfare for local communities: CM Bugti
Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with a delegation of elders, tribal leaders, and youth from the Bugti tribe to discuss ongoing development projects, welfare initiatives, and the overall progress of Dera Bugti, Sui, and surrounding areas.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted that historic development projects are underway to integrate the region into the province’s broader growth framework, with several key schemes already completed. He emphasized that the government is prioritizing improvements in education, healthcare, communications, and employment opportunities, ensuring that basic facilities reach the people.
Sarfraz Bugti stressed that providing employment opportunities for local residents in gas companies and ensuring the welfare of the local population remain among the government’s top priorities. He noted that the social responsibility and welfare funds of gas companies are being strategically directed toward public-interest projects so that local communities benefit directly.
He added that the government is committed to practical measures rather than mere announcements, laying the foundation for sustainable development in Dera Bugti, Sui, and adjoining areas. Priority projects include the expansion of roads, communication networks, education, healthcare, and job creation, all aimed at improving public facilities.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the development and prosperity of the region’s people is the government’s responsibility, and available resources are being utilized transparently and effectively to achieve this goal.
