600 women trained under Balochistan’s entrepreneurship program for economic empowerment; 100 launch businesses with financial support

 

Quetta, The Balochistan government has provided training for 600 women under the Women Entrepreneurship Development Program, a significant step toward women’s economic independence.

 

As many as, 100 women after successfully completing training, have already launched their own businesses, receiving financial assistance to support their entrepreneurial journey.

 

Organized by the Women Development Department, the program provided practical training and resources to women across the province. At a ceremony, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, distributed cheques worth Rs. 200,000 each to 100 women entrepreneurs, amounting to a total of Rs. 20 million in financial support.

 

Dr. Rubaba Buledi described the initiative as a new era for women’s economic empowerment in Balochistan, reflecting the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. She emphasized that this is the province’s first comprehensive women’s entrepreneurship program, enabling women not only to acquire skills but also to transform them into sustainable businesses.

 

She noted that empowering women economically strengthens households and contributes to the local economy. “The destiny of Balochistan’s talented women is not poverty but stability, independence, and progress. Women’s empowerment is an investment in the better future of families and generations to come,” she said.

 

Dr. Rubaba Buledi added that the government will continue to strengthen integrated systems of training, financial support, and business opportunities for women, expanding such programs to benefit more participants. She stressed that the program aims to transform women from job seekers into job creators, with positive impacts on families and economic activities across the province.
