Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail praises Philanthropists on International Charity Day

Quetta, Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has lauded the efforts of philanthropists, welfare organizations, volunteers, and social workers on the occasion of International Charity Day, describing their contributions as vital in easing the lives of orphans, widows, and the underprivileged.

In his message, the Governor said that while the welfare and dignity of citizens is the foremost responsibility of the government — which continues to strengthen education, health, social welfare, and public service sectors — the province’s vast population and economic challenges make collective efforts indispensable.

He urged affluent individuals, the business community, and welfare institutions to join hands with the government in supporting educational institutions, orphaned children, widowed women, patients in need of treatment, and daily wage earners. “It is essential to preserve the dignity of those we help. Even a small act of kindness can transform the life of someone struggling with poverty,” he noted.

Jaffar Mandokhail emphasized that Pakistan’s rich traditions and values teach solidarity in times of hardship. Promoting charity and service, he said, can reduce extreme poverty, ease the burden of high educational costs, and expand opportunities for youth. “By helping thousands of young people start small businesses, we can become a ray of hope for them,” he added.

The Governor expressed his wish that no child should be deprived of education, no orphan should suffer neglect, and no needy person should lose hope. He concluded with a prayer that the collective spirit of generosity and service becomes a source of dignity, progress, and hope for every citizen.
