BBoIT Vice Chairman highlights major investment initiatives under CM Bugti’s vision

Quetta, Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT), Bilal Khan Kakar, has said that under the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the board has achieved significant progress in promoting investment and economic activity across the province.

In a statement, Bilal Kakar noted that preparations are underway for the Balochistan Investment & Trade Expo (BITE) 2026, which will serve as a landmark platform to attract domestic and international investors. He added that effective linkages with investors and advancement of projects in multiple sectors are among the board’s recent successes.

Highlighting key initiatives, Bilal Kakar revealed that a public-private partnership worth nearly Rs. 5 billion has been advanced for a shrimp farming project, while practical steps have been taken to establish a shrimp hatchery in Gadani at a cost of Rs. 500 million. In the health sector, an agreement has been signed with UK-based Harley Healthcare Service for the establishment of a private medical and nursing college. Progress has also been made on Chinese investment in the Bostan Special Economic Zone.

He further said that the approval of 20 projects for investment in the United Arab Emirates, B2B linkages with China and other countries, and partnerships with various business and investment institutions mark important steps toward placing Balochistan on the global investment map.

Bilal Kakar emphasized that the establishment of a Business Facilitation Center to provide one-window services to investors is among BBoIT’s top priorities, aimed at making the investment process easier, transparent, and faster. He reiterated that BBoIT is committed to connecting Balochistan’s resources and local talent with global capital, technology, and expertise, thereby creating new opportunities for employment, trade, industry, and sustainable economic growth in the province.
