CM Sarfraz Bugti praises security forces for foiling terrorist infiltration in North Waziristan

Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has lauded Pakistan’s security forces for successfully thwarting a terrorist infiltration attempt from the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan, in which 15 militants were killed.

In a statement, Sarfraz Bugti said the operation, which continued for 36 hours, demonstrated the patience, professionalism, and bravery of the security personnel. He emphasized that the timely action to foil the infiltration attempt was clear proof that Pakistan’s forces remain vigilant and determined to defend the nation’s borders.

Sarfraz Bugti noted that terrorist elements seek to undermine Pakistan’s peace, stability, and development, but the state institutions and the people of Pakistan stand united to defeat their designs. He stressed that the fight against terrorism is not the struggle of a single institution or province, but a collective national battle.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the recovery of a large cache of weapons and explosives from the terrorists further exposed their nefarious plans against Pakistan. He underscored the urgent need for effective measures to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism.

Bugti said Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in the war against terror, with security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and citizens laying down their lives to strengthen the foundations of peace. “The nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs,” he affirmed.

He added that under the resolve of Azm-e-Istehkam, indiscriminate action against terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters is the only guarantee for lasting peace in the country. Bugti reiterated that no terrorist group will be allowed to disrupt Pakistan’s sovereignty, national security, or stability.

Commending the successful operation, the Chief Minister said the entire nation stands firmly with its brave armed forces and law enforcement agencies. He vowed that the struggle will continue with national unity and determination until terrorism is completely eradicated and sustainable peace is achieved.
