Timely completion of development projects top priority, Says Balochistan Minister
Poor quality of construction works and negligence will not be tolerated
Quetta, Provincial Minister for Communications and Works, Mir Saleem Khosa, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to accelerating development initiatives across Balochistan, stressing that delays, poor quality, or negligence against public interest will not be tolerated.
Speaking to various delegations, Saleem Khosa said that the province’s progress, provision of better travel facilities, modern communication systems, and improvement of basic infrastructure are among the foremost priorities of the current government. He emphasized that connecting remote areas with the national development stream through roads, bridges, and communication projects is vital, and their timely and quality completion will be ensured at all costs.
Highlighting Balochistan’s vast geography and scattered population, the minister noted that modern and safe road networks not only ease travel difficulties but also play a crucial role in advancing education, healthcare, trade, agriculture, and other sectors. “Better roads and communication systems are the backbone of the province’s economic development,” he remarked.
Saleem Khosa further stated that the Communications and Works Department bears the responsibility of addressing public issues on a priority basis and ensuring the completion of projects. He added that construction and repair of link roads in different areas will directly benefit citizens, particularly in rural and underdeveloped regions, by connecting them to main highways and providing improved access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
He stressed that funds allocated for development projects are a trust of the people and must be utilized transparently and effectively. “Any negligence in this regard will not be accepted,” he warned.
