BSDI program delivering basic facilities in Musakhail: DC Abdul Razzaq Khujak

Deputy Commissioner Musakhail Abdul Razzaq Khujak has said that under the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, with the special interest of the Corps Commander Balochistan and guidance of the Chief Secretary, the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) program is ensuring the provision of basic facilities at people’s doorsteps, resolving public issues promptly, and completing development projects in a transparent and effective manner. He noted that the program’s positive and far-reaching results are already benefiting citizens.

Abdul Razzaq Khujak explained that the BSDI program is essentially a responsive governance mechanism through which the government directly engages with communities, listens to their problems, and takes practical steps for solutions. In Phase I, Musakhail district had 14 development projects, of which 13 have been completed and one is near completion, marking a 93% progress rate. In Phase II, 101 projects were initiated, with 27 already completed and work on the remaining projects progressing rapidly.

He emphasized that effective coordination between departments and continuous monitoring is being ensured for timely completion. The program is not limited to development schemes alone but also involves open courts and public gatherings at tehsil, subdivision, and district levels, where citizens present their issues directly to the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, and line department officials. Complaints are formally reviewed, prioritized, and converted into actionable projects, which are then approved by the Planning & Development Department before execution.

Abdul Razzaq Khujak highlighted that the BSDI program has helped identify long-standing issues that had troubled communities for years. Completed projects are already providing relief in education, healthcare, communications, drinking water, and other essential services, while ongoing schemes are being expedited with all available resources.

He reaffirmed that the district administration remains committed to resolving public grievances, ensuring transparency, timely completion of projects, and strengthening governance, in line with the provincial government’s vision. “BSDI is a people-friendly initiative whose long-term outcomes will further improve the standard of basic facilities in Musakhail,” he added.
