Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau criticizes Mahmood Khan Achakzai for avoiding terrorist attribution

Zia says concealing truth is not friendship with Pashtuns but rather hostility

Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has strongly reacted to the recent statement of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, accusing him of deliberately avoiding naming terrorist organizations out of fear for his own life.

Speaking to the media, Zia Langau said that concealing the truth is not friendship with the Pashtuns but rather hostility. He pointed out that the Saranan attack has already been claimed by a terrorist organization, which has even released images to substantiate its responsibility. “This fear in the hearts of our leaders is what leads to duplicity. Instead of confronting reality, they hide behind shortcuts and blame everything on the government, which only tarnishes the state’s image,” he remarked.

Zia Langau stressed that leaders should not be afraid but must stand in front of the people with courage, guiding them with truth rather than misleading narratives. He urged Achakzai and other Pashtun leaders to raise their voices for the progress, prosperity, and equal standing of Pashtuns in line with modern global standards, which would be welcomed not only by the Pashtun community but by the world at large.

However, he lamented that instead of presenting facts and showing the right path, some leaders are misguiding the people, which he described as an act of enmity rather than friendship.
