Major progress in cardiac care facilities announced for Balochistan: CM Sarfraz Bugti
Islamabad, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced significant progress in the provision of modern and quality healthcare facilities for cardiac treatment in the province. Speaking at the Balochistan National Workshop during a session with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Bugti highlighted that the Balochistan Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (BICVD) is nearing completion, while Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta is already functioning as an effective center for cardiac care.
Ssrfraz Bugti explained that although the establishment of a cardiac hospital in Quetta was announced years ago, practical steps were delayed. The provincial government has since taken the initiative to establish two key institutions Sheikh Zayed Hospital and BICVD to ensure access to advanced treatment for heart patients within the province. He emphasized that providing quality healthcare facilities remains a top priority of the Balochistan government.
The Chief Minister also termed the agriculture sector’s solarization project a major success, noting that it has provided relief to farmers facing electricity shortages. He said the project’s benefits reached end-users directly, reducing electricity costs for QESCO and saving national resources. Bugti praised the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister Sardar Owais Ahmad Khan Leghari, and the teams involved in completing the project.
He added that the people of Balochistan highly value the positive outcomes of solarization, which have eased agricultural challenges and boosted productivity. Bugti reaffirmed that effective cooperation between federal and provincial governments is driving forward major development projects in health, agriculture, energy, and other vital sectors, ensuring better facilities and long-term prosperity for the people of Balochistan.
