BRA fixes Rs.100 sales tax per air ticket for travel agents in Balochistan

The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has announced that under its latest tax schedule, services provided by travel agents for issuing domestic and international air tickets will be subject to Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) at a fixed rate of Rs.100 per ticket.

The notification further clarifies that input tax credit or adjustment will not be admissible on these services. BRA has directed all concerned travel agents to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws by completing registration, filing accurate returns on time, and depositing payable taxes within the stipulated period.

The Authority emphasized that adherence to tax regulations is essential for establishing a transparent and efficient taxation system and for strengthening provincial revenue generation, which contributes to Balochistan’s development and welfare projects.
