Six suspects arrested in Pishin Police crackdown on theft network, stolen transformers recovered

Acting on the directives of SSP Pishin Naveed Alam, police intensified operations against organized theft networks, arresting six suspects over the past three days. The crackdown, led by SDPO Syed Azmat Hussain Shah Gilani, also resulted in the recovery of stolen motorcycles, mobile phones, and three truckloads of electricity transformers and wires.

Briefing media representatives at Police Lines Pishin, SDPO Gilani said the suspects were involved in multiple thefts across the district, targeting motorcycles, mobile phones, and other valuables. Investigations revealed that stolen goods were also being traded illegally. Police gathered intelligence and apprehended the suspects, initiating further interrogation.

He disclosed that a well-organized network had been stealing WAPDA transformers and wires from government tube wells and other installations. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a warehouse and seized three trucks loaded with stolen electrical equipment, arresting three individuals on the spot.

The briefing was attended by DSP (UTs) Muhammad Akbar, officers Ghazanfar Bugti and Atiq-ur-Rehman, SHO Chaudhry Muhammad Idrees, and WAPDA officials.

SDPO Gilani assured that operations would be intensified to protect citizens’ lives and property. He confirmed that police are also pursuing facilitators involved in the purchase and resale of stolen goods. “All elements engaged in theft will be brought before the law,” he said.

Highlighting the department’s zero-tolerance policy against narcotics, Gilani revealed that nearly 17 kilograms of drugs had been seized in the past seven months, underscoring the police’s commitment to curbing crime and ensuring public safety.
