Governor Mandokhail congratulates overseas Pakistanis at Houston Independence Day celebration
New York, During his official visit to the United States, Governor of Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail addressed a large gathering in Houston last night, extending heartfelt Independence Day greetings to Pakistanis and the diaspora worldwide. He praised their unwavering patriotism, noting that despite living thousands of miles away, their love for Pakistan remains undiminished and worthy of admiration.
The event, organized as part of Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations, was attended by internationally renowned Pakistani businessmen including Tanzeer Ahmed, Tahir Bhatti, Dr. Asif Qadeer, and Uzair Hassan, CEO of Maxem, along with a significant number of men and women from the community.
In his speech, Governor Jaffar Mandokhail highlighted his participation in the Youth and Artificial Intelligence Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, organized by the Youth International Organization. He emphasized that Pakistan’s youth were represented with vigor and expressed hope that the efforts made at this global platform would yield positive outcomes.
The Governor expressed delight at the strong presence of Pakistani entrepreneurs and traders in Houston, acknowledging their contributions in enhancing Pakistan’s image abroad. He stressed that the private sector, local investors, and overseas Pakistanis play a crucial role in the country’s economic growth and stability. Their remittances, expertise, investments, and international business connections, he said, are valuable assets for Pakistan’s development.
Jaffar Mandokhail urged overseas Pakistanis, particularly those in the United States, to actively contribute to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and Balochistan by linking their capital, experience, and business skills with the domestic economy. He expressed confidence that expatriates would seize opportunities to strengthen Pakistan’s economic foundations.
