Constable Muhammad Khumari awarded Sitara-e-Shujaat posthumously for gallantry in Gwadar attack

 

The Balochistan Police has paid tribute to its fallen heroes, declaring that their sacrifices for public safety and peace will be remembered in history with golden words. On Independence Day, President Asif Ali Zardari announced civil awards for martyrs who displayed extraordinary bravery, including the posthumous conferment of Sitara-e-Shujaat on Constable Muhammad Khumari.

 

According to a press release issued by the Balochistan Police spokesperson, Constable Muhammad Khumari, son of Noor Bakhsh, hailed from Surabi Ward in Gwadar. Known among colleagues as gentle, courteous, and a loyal friend, he was the youngest among six brothers and one sister.

 

On May 11, 2025, Muhammad Khumari embraced martyrdom during a fierce encounter with terrorists in the Bilal Masjid area of Gwadar. Demonstrating exceptional courage and devotion to duty, he sacrificed his life while defending the nation.

 

The government’s civil awards list includes Khumari among those honored for valor and bravery. His sacrifice, the spokesperson noted, is a source of pride not only for his family but for the entire nation. His dedication, loyalty, and heroism will forever be remembered.

 

The statement concluded with prayers for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and patience for the bereaved family, affirming that the Balochistan Police remains steadfast in its mission to protect the people and uphold peace across the province.
