CM Sarfraz Bugti urges Balochistan students to contribute to national development
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with students selected on merit for higher education scholarships in universities across different provinces. During the interactive session, discussions were held on development projects, governance, education, and other key issues. Students posed questions to the Chief Minister, who responded in detail. Sarfraz Bugti said that the selection of students from various districts of Balochistan for higher education is a guarantee of their bright academic future. He noted that most of the scholarship recipients belong to underprivileged and middle?class families, and the opportunity to study in the country’s leading universities marks a significant step forward. He expressed appreciation for the of Punjab government’s initiative to support Balochistan students by covering tuition and hostel fees, describing it as a commendable gesture. He conveyed the gratitude of the people of Balochistan to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for this support. The Chief Minister urged students to uphold discipline, hard work, and merit while pursuing education in other provinces. He emphasized that Balochistan’s youth are ambassadors of both the province and Pakistan, and must showcase their abilities and positive character wherever they go. Bugti cautioned students against involvement in anti?state organizations or negative propaganda, stressing that education should be their primary focus to fulfill their parents’ expectations. He underscored that Pakistan was created to endure forever and will remain intact. “Those who dream of dividing Pakistan live in a fool’s paradise,” he remarked. Bugti highlighted that Balochistan’s youth are the architects of Pakistan’s future and must channel their energies into education, research, skills, and development for the province and the nation. The Chief Minister described the dialogue with students as encouraging, noting that listening to their questions and ideas is among the government’s priorities. He said that educated and talented youth are the key to steering Balochistan towards progress, prosperity, and stability. Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and Secretary Higher Education Saleh Baloch were also present at the meeting.
